Mount Beauty
Nestled at the start of the Kiewa Valley and at the foot of the climb to Falls Creek, the township of Mount Beauty lives up to its name with its prime location at the foot of Mount Bogong, Victoria’s highest mountain. Myrtleford
A picturesque town beautifully positioned in the northern foothills of the Mt Buffalo Range adjacent to the Ovens River, serving as a gateway to Mt Buffalo National Park and Mt Hotham. The town is a flourishing commercial centre and the hub for timber, hops and the expanding premium wine grape market. There is a18 hole golf course, well-stoked supermarket, and many gourmet cafes and restaurants, one of our favourites being The Butter Factory, a gourmet café housed in the historic old butter factory. Milawa
Milawa is a small town located in the heart of the Milawa Gourmet Region and home to numerous fresh and processed food producers plus a number of Victoria’s leading wineries. Beechworth
The Beechworth region is rich with locally grown produce; fruit, vegetables, honey, nuts, berries, apples, preserves.  It also offers excellent restaurants, cafes, boutique breweries, bakeries and food and wine retailers to showcase the local produce.  The town is complimented by a mix of shops and galleries, including antiques, old wares and local handcrafts. Yackandandah
Yackandandah is one of Victoria’s prettiest villages, with 37 of its buildings having received National Trust classification. It was originally a mining township, and the stunning buildings with their elaborate façades evidence the success of the nineteenth century gold rush. Make sure to follow the Historic Buildings Street Walk and feel free to be distracted by the many antique, arts & crafts stores before stopping at one of the local cafes or bakeries for some delicious local fare. Bright
The attractive township of Bright is situated on the scenic Great Alpine Road in the beautiful Ovens Valley. Any time of year is perfect to visit, but in autumn you will witness Bright’s deciduous trees in their breathtaking splendour, and in winter you can take advantage of its close proximity to the mountain and ski resorts of Mount Buffalo, Mount Hotham and the Alpine and Mount Buffalo National Parks. Two-wheel action is superb around Bright, whether you’re a road cyclist or a mountain biker: Cruise the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail through the Ovens River Valley, or challenge yourself on the Alpine Ascent.  Visit boutique wineries, stock up on delicious produce and taste local ingredients in the village cafés.
