We came From Melbourne to stay at the farm for 5 days and we will return again. The location in the valley is spot on in terms of day trips and exploring to Falls Creek, Mt Buffalo, lake hume etc not to mention the surrounding towns. Diannes hospitality was a delight and her invitations to explore the farm was something Ben aged 2 and Tom aged 4 grabbed with both hands. The little house provides all you require, it is wonderfully presented and cozy Thankyou Dianne and Tom for letting us share your farm.

The geese came waddling through the farm gate to greet us on our first morning as we sat around the table having breakfast in the morning sunlight. The Farmhouse B&B is spotless, comfortable and a great location to visit the Hume Dam, Mt Beauty and Falls Creek, and the little historic towns in the area. And Di’s jams and chutneys are yummy.

Our family booked to stay at Dederan Farmhouse for my 50th birthday. It was an absolute pleasure to meet Di and she made us feel so very welcome. The accommodation itself had loveley outdoor areas and we made use of the BBQ, and spent much time on the verandah drinking in the view and watching the lambs. Another lovely touch was being able to buy home made pickles and jams etc. What a beautiful location.

A perfect location and great hospitality – Di is a wonderful host. Very comfy and cosy B&B – breaky on the back verandah and afternoon coffee on the front verandah. Beautiful views in every direction. Five days of R&R and got to meet quite a few of the local ladies of the patchwork group joining in for a day and being made very welcome. Definitely be back some time.

A wonderful place to spend a long weekend. My family enjoyed the very well maintained house and the children loved feeding the animals and observing (!) the turkey (funny!) We did some great day trips and felt truly relaxed – can’t wait to return!!

Our family enjoyed 3 nights here and the amazing views from the farmhouse made our stay extra special. The Farmhouse has everything that is needed for a relaxing holiday and is central for day trips to all the nearby towns and villages. Don’t miss the pies at the Bakery at Beechworth. Dianne is a very hospitable host and has made the Farmhouse a very special place to unwind and relax in beautiful surroundings.

Thank-you so much Diane for our stay at the Farmhouse. I went with my brother’s family for three nights in October and the weather was perfect. The kids had so much fun feeding all the animals and it was so nice to lie on the grass in the sun. The house is beautiful and we had the most relaxing time in Dederang.

We managed to secure a single available night at the B&B as we were passing through on our return trip from Melbourne to Sydney. What was expected to be a functional stop-over turned out to be a highlight of our trip. Soon after arrival Di had our girls (8yo and 6yo) feeding calves, holding turkey chicks and collecting eggs in a way that they had never experienced in inner Sydney! The generosity continued the next morning with a ute trip through the paddocks checking the stock then brekky with the previously collected eggs. Even after we had left the B&B Di’s tip-off to a beautiful swimming-hole in the Kiewa River was a winner! This is a seriously good B&B, even for a single night!

We had a much needed 5 day break and staying at the farmhouse was perfect – quiet, private, beautiful views, surrounded by garden, trees, birdlife, and the farm. The house is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean, with everything we wanted on hand. Dianne is a wonderful and generous host, providing a plentiful array of food for breakfast and several extras and always around if needed (local information, news about the farm) We used the house as a base to spend time walking, cycling and exploring around Mt Buffalo, the wineries, Mt Beauty and the Alpine National Park, and then to relax in the evening on the verandah or inside in airconditioned comfort (it was quite hot weather at the time). Highly recommended.

It was worth the drive to meet the lovely Di and her family, who made us so very welcome over our Easter break. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well-equipped and the farm is in a great spot to explore this beautiful part of Victoria. We ventured to Mt Beauty, Falls Creek, Beechworth, Bright and the breathtaking Happy Valley. Oh, and the eggs were delicious and the lovely bed linen made for a wonderful night’s sleep!

Hubby, bubby and I stayed for 3 lovely nights…and we really wish we could’ve stayed much longer! Against the backdrop of a stunningly beautiful landscape, with all the ‘modern’ comforts, we all were able to quickly relax, enjoy the sights and the serenity. Bub had fun meeting all the animals nearby – turkeys, calves, chickens, geese and a very friendly little cat! Breakfast was generous and delicious – including Di’s lovely homemade toasted muesli. Thank you, Di, for your kind hospitality and attention to detail. We had an amazing time and hope to come back again soon!

There isn’t a place we could recommend more highly than The Farmhouse Dederang.
An absolutely beautiful and well appointed cottage that makes you feel right at home in this lovely little town. After booking with very late notice I couldn’t be more thankful to Diane for taking us in and being so kind.
The breakfast and fresh bread was amazing and we loved the fireplace.
Waking up in the morning to frost settling over the acres of beautiful farmland surrounded by a vista of hills and distant mountains was magical.
We didn’t want to leave and we will definitely be coming back.
Thank you Diane for being so lovely and making us feel so welcome. We truly loved your cottage and will tell all our friends to look you up!

We have stayed at The Farmhouse Dederang a few times now and would highly recommend it to anyone – and we do!
Diane is a fabulous host and the accomodation is warm comfortable with more than enough room for me, my husband and our 2 boys.
Breakfast is always amazing and my son still raves about Di’s fresh baked muesli.
An early morning walk around the propery is just magical in this gorgeous valley.
The kids never get tired of feeding the animals and collecting fresh eggs for our breakfast.
They have even been lucky enough to help with the cattle on occasion which they loved.
Thanks Di – we always love our time there. Your farm is very special to us.

    See you in August!

Thank you Diane for being such a warm and thoughtful host when our family stayed over last week. Our children still talk about the chooks in the front yard and the warm and cosy beds. And I still think about your freshly made muesli, cookies, and your blood plum jam and tomato sauce.
